Little Things

He doesn't find contentment

Who seeks the wealth of kings

For the greatest happiness of all

Is found in little things...

Little things like kittens' fur

And bread right from the oven

Or little pups with big brown eyes,

Or children who need lovin'

Or cozy spots on rainy days

Or helping someone out

Or sitting down and wondering

What life is all about...

A perfect rose - all fresh with dew,

The first spring daffodil -

Yes, little things sure mean a lot

And guess they always will.

But it seems the very nicest

Of all the little things

Is our sepcial kind of friendship

And the happiness it brings
