Live life.

Act as if.

Be yourself.

God is love.

Ride it out.

Stop to pray.

Share prayer.

Why quit?

Easy does it.

Hurry slowly.

Turn it over.

Hugs are free.

Live life now.

Surf the urge.

Just for today.

Give time time.

Hugs not drugs.

Keep it simple.

Let lapses lie.

Health matters.

Let go, let God.

Enough’s enough.

Forgive, forget.

Share your pain.

Time takes time.

Together we can.

Trying is dying.

Fear is not fact.

Better is enough.

Expect a miracle.

Listen and learn.

No pain, no gain.

Health is wealth.

Just keep moving.

Commit to be fit.

Lapse vs collapse.

One day at a time.

Trust the process.

Accept and endure.

Keep an open mind.

Live and let live.

Think think think.

Use it or lose it.

You are not alone.

Feel your feelings.

Thy will, not mine.

One step at a time.

One task at a time.

Just for this hour.

Let go and let God.

My way didn't work.

All we have is now.

First things first.

It’s an inside job.

Misery is optional.

No risk, no growth.

Reach don’t preach.

Health comes first.

If you slip, get up.

One amend at a time.

One worry at a time.

God believes in you.

As I think, so I am.

Love yourself first.

Fix it or forget it.

Suit up and show up.

This too shall pass.

Faith is the victory.

Turn fear into faith.

My will, God’s power.

Just for this second.

Just for this minute.

Use the 24-hour plan.

Accept, don’t expect.

Count your blessings.

Imperfect but trying.

Insanity is calamity.

Life on life’s terms.

Pride halts progress.

Share your happiness.

You do have a choice.

Practice makes easier.

Feelings aren’t facts.

One problem at a time.

Let go or get dragged.

Amending is a mending.

Focus on the positive.

God doesn't make junk.

I’m doing it with you.

More will be revealed.

Push the pause button.

What’s right about me?

Together we get better.

Happy, joyous and free.

God is God, and I'm not

Willingness is the key.

Let go of expectations.

The time is now, today.

Failing is not failure.

Identify don't compare.

It takes what it takes.

Living in the solution.

Stick with the winners.

Utilize, don’t analyze.

Practice makes progress.

Worry prevents recovery.

Plan plans, not results.

Wilt thou be made whole?

Relationship over right.

Put on the whole armour.

Do the next right thing.

I'm perfectly imperfect.

In God’s time, not mine.

Progress not perfection.

Share it, don’t wear it.

Stay sober for yourself.

Zero is easier than one.

Action overcomes anxiety.

Easy does it - but do it.

Faith follows acceptance.

Faith it til you make it.

Step by step, day by day.

Solutions not situations.

Acceptance takes courage.

An attitude of gratitude.

Leave the results to God.

But for the grace of God.

Don't use no matter what.

If it works don't fix it.

Keep the plug in the jug.

Life is what you make it.

Listen to the sane voice.

Abstinence is a lifestyle.

Fear is a breach of faith.

Take care of the feelings.

Pride goeth before a slip.

Trying to pray is praying.

Complacency stunts growth.

From wholly His, to whole.

Live life on life's terms.

Tact – honest selectivity.

To thine own self be true.

You deserve a better life.

Stay strong and live long.

Anger is, rage need not be.

Power through powerlessness

In God’s will is our peace.

Fail to plan, plan to fail.

Change from the inside out.

Don't borrow from tomorrow.

Get it - give it - grow in it.

Honesty is the only policy.

Strength through adversity.

Too blessed to be stressed.

Why me? is to question God.

You must be present to win.

Faith without works is dead.

Why worry when you can pray?

Stay out of slippery places.

Find joy in difficult times.

A half-truth is a whole lie.

Bloom where you are planted.

Happiness comes from within.

It takes time to get better.

Sweep your side of the street.

When in doubt, leave it out.

Pray until something happens.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

Willing to go to any lengths.

Look after the little things.

Recovery is simple, not easy.

You can only change yourself.

It is never too late to mend.

A dependency is a dependency.

It takes as long as it takes.

My best thinking got me here.

Relapse is not a requirement.

Abstinence is approved of God.

Abstinence is an act of faith.

Resentment is a deadly hazard.

Do the stuff to get the stuff.

I can tolerate these feelings.

Keep an attitude of gratitude.

No one has universal approval.

Only open minds can be healed.

Health, happiness and harmony.

Resentment inside out is guilt.

Anger: I am not getting my way.

Freedom is the power to say no.

Little strokes fell giant oaks.

First surrender, then serenity.

In calmness lies true pleasure.

Keep your hope machine running.

Make it a joy instead of a job.

My grace is sufficient for thee

A closed mouth gathers no feet.

God wants only the best for me.

Honesty, openness, willingness.

Unity does not mean uniformity.

What goes around, comes around.

Whereever you go…there you are.

Addiction is voluntary slavery.

Despair is the absence of faith.

Don’t let a slip become a slide.

Move a muscle, change a thought.

Prevention is better than cure.

"Figuring it out" is not a tool.

Don't intellectualize - utilize.

Half-hearted, I cannot be whole.

Inner seething makes for hunger.

Release what does not bless you.

The quickest way out is through.

Turn it over, don't turn it off.

Health by choice, not by chance.

Act myself into ways of thinking.

Replace old habits with new ones.

We only fail when we quit trying.

Self-will minus self equals will.

Small wins lead to bigger things.

Don’t wait until you feel better.

Failure, an opportunity to begin.

Half measures availed us nothing.

Name them, claim them, dump them.

No thank you, a very useful tool.

Abstinence is a window of clarity.

When you feel left out, reach out.

With God, all things are possible.

Recovery doesn't happen overnight.

Change is a process, not an event.

Be still and know that God is God.

All in good time, all in God time.

An addict alone is in bad company.

Hope is the risk that must be run.

I cannot mend if I bend the truth.

We’re only as sick as our secrets.

You can’t be perfect all the time.

Peace is the tranquility of order.

You can't heal what you don't feel.

Just for today, I can be abstinent.

The sooner I surrender, the better.

The best way out is always through.

Long term vision, short term focus.

Don’t believe everything you think.

If not this, then something better.

Keep your head where your feet are.

Keep your side of the street clean.

Would I rather be right — or happy?

It’s a good day to have a good day.

Abstinence is easier than temperance.

Don’t just do something – sit there.

Success is the sum of small efforts.

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Recovery begins with the first step.

Recovery is a process, not an event.

We are responsible for our recovery.

If nothing changes, nothing changes.

Assume a virtue, if you have it not.

Excuses do not prevent consequences.

Learn to listen and listen to learn.

There but for the grace of God go I.

Abstinence is easier than moderation.

Addiction denied is recovery delayed.

If God seems farther away, who moved?

If you want to stay clean, don't use.

Man's extremity is God's opportunity.

Procrastination is the thief of life.

The key to the future is forgiveness.

You can be right or you can be happy.

Resentment is the number one offender.

Seek discipline and find your liberty.

Know thyself, the truth sets you free.

God’s will is always life and healing.

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Failings can be footings for recovery.

I want my life to illustrate recovery.

Don’t let the past steal your present.

Plan for tomorrow, but live for today.

A perfect gift asks nothing in return.

Courage – leaving the familiar behind.

God, grant me the patience, right now.

I am unique, just like everybody else.

I must decrease and God must increase.

If God is your co-pilot, switch seats.

Just willing enough (to do something).

The best things in life aren't things.

Abstinence is the surety of temperance.

Abstinence makes the heart grow fonder.

I didn’t get abstinent to be miserable.

A decision without action is a fantasy.

Vision without action is hallucination.

If you’re handed it, you can handle it.

I can't, God can, I think I'll let Him.

Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

The lowest ebb is the turn of the tide.

To do it, do it and you’ll feel better.

When all else fails, follow directions.

When temptation knocks, let God answer.

The best reward is continued abstinence.

Willpower is willingness to rely on God.

Today’s discipline is tomorrow’s reward.

The opposite of addiction is connection.

You can’t manage what you don’t monitor.

Acid corrodes the vessel which holds it.

Bring the body and the mind will follow.

Don't hurry. Don't worry. Don't compare.

God didn’t bring me this far to drop me.

Humility is our acceptance of ourselves.

If I don’t feel close to God, who moved?

It came to pass, it didn't come to stay.

Listen to the still, small voice within.

Nothing is worth activating our disease.

The opposite of addiction is connection.

When one door closes, another one opens.

Remember: God has done abstinence for us.

For fast-acting relief, try slowing down.

Believe you can and you’re halfway there.

Resentments are rubbish – haul them away.

Recovery is a journey, not a destination.

Recovery is a lifestyle, not a turnstile.

The more we uncover, the more we recover.

Keep your recovery first to make it last.

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.

Don’t curse the darkness, light a candle.

Don’t should on yourself, or anyone else.

Our own sanity – the best gift to others.

Say what you mean, but don’t say it mean.

Sobriety is a journey, not a destination.

You are important, take care of yourself.

Your bottom is wherever you stop digging.

A healthy outside starts from the inside.

Fear is the place negatives are developed.

Expectations are premeditated resentments.

Courage is fear that has said its prayers.

Trust God, clean house, help others, pray.

To keep recovery you have to give it away.

Today I have more solutions than problems.

Accept the addiction, change the behavior.

Glance at the past, but don’t stare at it.

God grows tomatoes. He doesn't pull weeds.

If you can be humble, you'll learn faster.

Serenity is a feeling of stability within.

You can’t keep it unless you give it away.

Abstinence is a journey, not a destination.

Keep your abstinence first to make it last.

If you feed your faith, doubts will starve.

Freedom from bondage means freedom to live.

Prayer, however simple, nourishes the soul.

Take an action, then let go of the results.

Give yourself space to give yourself grace.

Backsliding begins when knee-bending stops.

Bend your knees before you bend your elbow.

Clouds have linings, problems have endings.

Forgiveness is letting go of a better past.

Make a daily renewal of positive attitudes.

Stinkin’ thinkin’ makes for weaker seekers.

The world record for abstinence is 24 hours.

With abstinence, life is an ongoing miracle.

Abstinence is all God is asking of me today.

The three As: awareness, acceptance, action.

Either you run the day, or the day runs you.

Formula for failure: try to please everyone.

Live in the problem or live in the solution.

Step by step, from bondage to abundant life.

Abstinence keeps me present for life and joy.

Abstinence today won't be regretted tomorrow.

Thankfulness is passive, gratitude is active.

A resentment is anger without the enthusiasm.

Powerless does not mean helpless or hopeless.

There is no magic in recovery, only miracles.

When we surrender to God, the journey begins.

Comparison is the shortest route to insanity.

God’s love for me remains blessedly the same.

I'm an egomaniac with an inferiority complex.

In order for a tool to work, it must be used.

Seriously, don’t take yourself too seriously.

Short-term relief produces long-range defeat.

Try not to place conditions on your sobriety.

Being right is not as important as being free.

One is too many, and a thousand is not enough.

Take your mind off yourself – pray for others.

Recovery is an education without a graduation.

I do not recover today on yesterday’s actions.

Life is a puzzle – Jesus is the missing piece.

The longest way is sometimes the shortest way.

Acceptance does not necessarily mean approval.

Have it to give away, give it away to keep it.

I can't handle this one God, please take over.

I no longer serve God in an advisory capacity.

Look for similarities rather than differences.

My character shows as I respond to difficulty.

We must come to God with all our defenses down

First things first – abstinence above all else.

Since abstinence, my only “To Do List” is life.

Bad is bad, even when it’s better than nothing.

Do I want to be right or do I want to be happy?

Forgive easily - as if your life depends on it.

Intolerance is contempt prior to investigation.

Others’ opinions of me are none of my business.

Repetition is nature's only form of permanence.

Stick with the winners - win with the stickers.

There is a bottom below that the bottom I know.

Expectations are resentments under construction.

To keep what you have, you have to give it away.

Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.

Don’t confuse can and can’t with will and won’t.

If you can take it or leave it, you can have it.

Success means getting your ‘but’ out of the way.

The force of the waves is in their perseverance.

There’s a blessing of a lesson in every problem.

When this is learned, it ceases to be a problem.

Worrying is like praying for what you don’t want.

The road to resentment is paved with expectation.

We can only keep our recovery if we give it away.

Open Your Mind, Open Your Heart, Open Your Bible.

Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

For every problem, there is a spiritual solution.

I am responsible for the effort, not the outcome.

If you expect respect, be the first to show some.

Nothing is so bad that using won’t make it worse.

People never failed to be amazed by common sense.

The road to heaven may, at times, feel like hell.

Abstinence enables me to carry out my daily plans.

One bite is too many and a thousand is not enough.

Prayer is talking to God. Meditation is listening.

Through recovery, I experience more days of grace.

What others think of you is none of your business.

Time heals almost everything. Give time some time.

Blessed are those who hunger for the right things.

Fruitful growth is slow – only weeks grow quickly.

Love God in all things, love God above all things.

My higher power is whatever I turn to in a crisis.

Nothing pays off like restraint of tongue and pen.

You can only keep what you have by giving it away.

To abstain is no sacrifice – it is growth and life.

If you pray, don’t worry. If you worry, don’t pray.

God’s will is a loving thought and a loving action.

Don’t let yesterday’s reason become today’s excuse.

Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?

Smile, you don’t own all the problems in the world.

I don't need to try harder, I need to trust harder.

The process of getting well – a privilege and gift.

There’s no cloud that the sun can’t pierce through.

We’re responsible for the effort – not the outcome.

The unwritten promise - you never have to be alone.

Health is a relationship between you and your body.

If God brings you to it, He’ll bring you through it.

God is more powerful than _________________________.

Surrendering means you don't have to fight any more.

False expectations lead to disappointment and anger.

In a scary world, the safest place is next to Jesus.

A journey of 1,000 miles begins with the first step.

An unwillingness to forgive is a form of self-abuse.

Don’t confuse winning a battle with winning the war.

Forgiveness is giving up all hope for a better past.

Humility – knowing yourself for what you really are.

If you don’t take your inventory, someone else will.

Look steadily at the ultimate, not immediate reward.

Taking stock of myself is buying stock in my future.

We are promised a life of sane and happy usefulness.

We can be positive that our addiction was negative.

You can't do it alone, but only you alone can do it.

Health is not about your body, it’s about your soul.

It is easier to stay abstinent than to get abstinent.

Our disease is mind altering, but so is our recovery.

Today is the tomorrow that I worried about yesterday.

Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Don't compare your insides to other people's outsides

I don’t think less of myself, I think of myself less.

If I think, I won’t drink. If I drink, I can’t think.

Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.

Wear life looser and it gets comfortable much sooner.

What other people think of me is none of my business.

You can make old negative habits atrophy from disuse.

Complete abstinence is easier than perfect moderation.

Happiness is a feeling I have only when I’m abstinent.

Life is what happens while you are making other plans.

Each positive action we take strengthens our recovery.

Learn from the past, plan for tomorrow, live in today.

If you eat as if there is no tomorrow, there won’t be.

Take heart, the darker the night, the nearer the dawn.

The best way to get something finished is to start it.

Pray to catch the bus, and then run as fast as you can.

You only have to change one thing – that is everything.

Courage and compassion are needed when I miss the mark.

If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side.

Life gives me time and space, it’s up to me to fill it.

The first step in overcoming mistakes is to admit them.

When your head begins to swell your mind stops growing.

You can do what you want, or you can get what you want.

Your body is a temple, but only if you treat it as one.

Resentments cause violent illness in non-violent people.

We were designed for renewal, restoration, and recovery.

Don’t compare your insides with other people’s outsides.

I can expect only to get better at this, not control it.

Isolation is the dark room where I develop my negatives.

The depth of our anxiety measures our distance from God.

We have a disease that tells us we don’t have a disease.

We only fail when we trust too much in our own strength.

If I stay abstinent now, it will be easier the next time.

Act the way you want to feel. Feign it ‘til you feel it.

Every day is a gift that is why we call it the present.

I can get through the day. I can get through this moment.

God made the human heart so big that only He can fill it.

When happiness is no longer our goal, we have more of it.

It is none of my business what someone else thinks of me.

Love is not an investment, but a charitable contribution.

To keep a lamp burning we have to keep putting oil on it.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

If you don't want to slip, stay away from slippery places.

Every recovery from addiction began with one sober minute.

Change ultimately proves the changelessness of God’s love.

Make peace with your past so it doesn’t spoil your present

Every moment is a gift, that's why we call it the present.

No one is the reason of your happiness except you yourself

An addict cannot be grateful and hateful at the same time.

Take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth.

The two ways to learn are the hard way and the harder way.

Abstinence is the great strengthener and clearer of reason.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery -- stay in today.

Be at war with your vices and at peace with your neighbors.

Don’t bother to give God directions – just report for duty.

Folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

How I feel about my body has nothing to do with how I look.

There is no measure from God’s love and yet we have it all.

Use periods of strength to prepare for periods of weakness.

Your worth should never depend on another person’s opinion.

Impression management vs honesty with God, self and others.

My daily abstinence is contingent on my spiritual condition.

Can I give up my dreams of a cure and settle for a solution?

If you don’t want to have to turn it over, don’t pick it up.

In the race to be better or best, miss not the joy of being.

Life with God is an endless hope, without it a hopeless end.

Like everyone else, I’m human – part good, part not-so-good.

Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don’t say it mean.

Trying to control others makes us lose control of ourselves.

When I stopped living in the problem, the problem went away.

It’s better to be healthy alone than sick with someone else.

Abstinence is as easy to me as temperance would be difficult.

Abstinence is many times very helpful to the end of religion.

Continued abstinence brings thinner bodies and thicker skins.

Responsible action rather than irresponsible rationalization.

Every recovery began with one abstinent hour.

A day has a hundred pockets when one has much to put in them.

Have a good day, unless of course, you have made other plans.

Stop thinking too much. It’s alright not to know the answers.

Feel, Deal and Heal - Feel it, Deal with it and Heal from it.

Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Humility is acceptance of ourselves and others, good and bad.

To keep abstinence alive, I have to be constantly aware of it.

Practice doesn’t just make permanent, practice makes progress.

The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.

If you turn it over and don't let go, you will be upside down.

You may have had a dark past but you can have a bright future.

God is the most important thing in my life, without exception.

If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got.

Instruments shaped differently can still play beautiful music.

Sobriety is not about getting sober, it’s about staying sober.

What makes life worth the living, is our giving and forgiving.

Addicts heal from the outside in but feel from the inside out.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Prayer is a conversation with God. Short prayers: Help! Thanks!

The path to recovery may get narrow but the horizons get wider.

I am God’s gift to me, what I do with myself is my gift to God.

Maturity – taking responsibility for behavior and consequences.

Time wasted in getting even can never be used in getting ahead.

The only time I have ever been satisfied is when I am abstinent.

Being 'willing' to do something is not the same as 'wanting' to.

Just for today I will not tackle my whole life problems at once.

You can’t speed up your recovery, but you can sure slow it down.

The most effective way to cope with change is to help create it.

Minds are like parachutes. They don't work unless they are open.

When temptation comes in through the window, God opens the door.

You are not required to like it, you are only required to do it.

Well, well, well, if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions.

Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered it and no one was there.

Failure is success on the installment plan -- if I learn from it.

It isn’t the load that weighs us down – it’s the way we carry it.

Our happiness does not depend on someone else, only on ourselves.

When you do all the talking you only learn what you already know.

If you don’t take care of your body, where are you going to live?

To avoid a slip, stay out of slippery places and watch your steps.

My worst day now is infinitely better than my best day previously.

Even if I'm on the right track, if I don't move I'll get run over.

Happiness is not getting what you want, it’s wanting what you get.

Just about any dream grows stronger if you hold on a little longer

Remember during heavy moments – your heart was once heavier still.

The greatest of all faults is to tell yourself that you have none.

Where God has placed a full stop, don’t you place a question mark.

Don’t give up what you want most for what you want at this moment.

From the bitterness of disease man learns the sweetness of health.

Be as enthusiastic about recovery as you were about your addiction.

I love you, God loves you, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

My worst day abstinent is better than my best day before abstinence.

Willpower can be put to use as willingness, rather than willfulness.

Nobody ever found recovery as a result of an intellectual awakening.

I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I write and I understand.

Serenity isn't freedom from the storm, it is peace within the storm.

Abstinence: Some get it. Some have to do research for the rest of us.

Resentment is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die.

Measure your wealth not by what you have, but by what you have given.

Put God first in your life, and everything else will fall into place.

Those who hold onto broken dreams often get cut by their sharp edges.

To give into a temporary craving could lead to a lifetime of slavery.

I may not be who I want to be but thank God I'm not who I used to be.

Abstinence is the most important action in my life, without exception.

It's God’s will that you be set free, walk free, live free, stay free.

Recovery is when you start living the solution instead of the problem.

Circumstances do not make us who we are, they reveal to us who we are.

You can’t be thankful and resentful at the same time – so be thankful.

To be or not to be abstinent? That is the question. God is the answer.

If I’m pointing my finger at someone, three fingers are pointing at me.

The disease is physical. The cause is emotional. The cure is spiritual.

Abstinence is not a temporary cure, it is a permanent method of control.

Abstinence is not about getting abstinent, it’s about staying abstinent.

We can’t afford to forget what it used to be like – even for one minute.

If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.

If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere.

Nothing from the outside can bring us happiness if we are at war within.

When you reach the end of your rope, you come to the beginning of God’s.

Sorrow is looking back, worry is looking around, hope is looking forward.

Worry is like a rocking chair, it’s something to do but gets you nowhere.

Don’t tell God how big your storm is, tell the storm how big your God is.

Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less.

If you keep doin' what your doin', you'll keep gettin' what your gettin'.

Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

Mental health is in direct proportion to the ability to laugh at oneself.

We are out of shape simply because we are out of touch with the Original.

Sorrow looks behind, worry looks around, hope looks ahead, faith looks up.

In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

Broken dreams and all, it is still a beautiful world – strive to be happy.

Some grow up and spread joy and happiness, others just grow up and spread.

We are all faced with great opportunities disguised as insoluble problems.

For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you.

Recovery is a lifetime of work. That’s why we’re given a lifetime to do it.

If people draw a circle excluding you, draw a bigger circle including them.

Not to move according to the direction of God is to fall back and stagnate.

Pretending all is well when it’s not cuts us off from the help to overcome.

The humble person does not have to be put in his peace, he’s already in it.

To be able to sacrifice at any moment what we are for what we could become.

Don’t tell God how big your problems are, tell your problems how big God is.

Pray for those who hurt you - they need the prayers and we need the practice.

Life is like an onion – you peel off a layer at a time and sometimes you cry.

Lord, show me what you had in mind when you made me, and how you want me now.

My old life depended upon hanging onto my defects and my old survival skills.

The symptom is physical, the problem is emotional, the solution is spiritual.

Change occurs as the pain of not changing gets more than the pain of changing.

To climb, you let go of the rung below, to fall, you let go of the rung above.

Getting something you've never had requires doing something you've never done.

If you sit in the barber's chair long enough, you'll eventually get a haircut.

You cannot do a kindness too soon for you never know when it will be too late.

Having faith in the light, even when we cannot see it, makes darkness bearable.

I don’t always know what God’s will is for me, but I always know what it’s not.

All we are expected to do is the best we can with what we’ve got, where we are.

God teach us to laugh again, but please don't let us forget that we once cried.

Try to be grateful and resentful at the same time, you can’t serve two masters.

When a person tries to control their addiction, they have already lost control.

When we are abstinent, we can truly be present for other people who are in pain.

Act yourself into right thinking instead of thinking yourself into right acting.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is weakness, not strength, that binds us to each other and to a higher power.

The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you.

Most misfortunes are easier to endure than the fear of the ones that never came.

Abstinence is the number one action in my life, so that God can be in the center.

Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.

We meet all types in life so that we can better appreciate those we keep closest.

You wouldn’t worry about what people think of you if you knew how seldom they do.

Before one goes to speak one’s mind, ask first, “Is it honest, second, is it kind?”

God will either shield you from suffering or give you unfailing strength to bear it.

To pass it on to others plays an important role and a vital part in our own recovery.

Its hard to sustain a life in recovery, but its harder to sustain a life in addiction.

I can do something for 24 hours that would appall me if I had to do it for a lifetime.

The person who stands still saying “it can’t be done” gets passed by someone doing it.

The thing is, usually we're wrong anyway, and even when we're right, it's not forever.

Since I can't think my way into right acting, I have to act my way into right thinking.

It is possible to change without improving. It is impossible to improve without change.

There are three kinds of business: my business, God’s business and none of my business.

Living in the present means not having conversations with people who are not in the room.

Thoughts are not things and feelings are not facts, they only have the power we give them.

Stop telling God how big your problems are - start telling your problems how big your God is.

Yesterday is a cancelled check, tomorrow is a promissory note, only today is cash in the bank.

Abstinence is a state of grace by which I am balanced physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

“What if” gets you nowhere, “Yeah but” halts progress in its tracks, “If only” never came true.

Little by little, we recover in mind and body, and we no longer feel crushed by an uncaring fate.

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

Unconditional love – it makes no difference how bad I have ever been, or how good I will ever be,

Dwell on the problem and the problem gets bigger. Dwell on the solution, the solution gets bigger.

The lesson I must learn is simply that my control is limited to my own behavior, my own attitudes.

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections.

Patiently waiting until we clearly see God’s will keeps us from getting lost in the darkness of self-will.

You can't think your way into a new way of living, you have to live your way into a new way of thinking.

First we stay abstinent because we have to, then because we are willing to and finally because we want to.

The solution to a problem is not in its elimination, but in the learning how to live with it while it exists.

It is not the experience of today that drives people mad, it is remorse of yesterday and the dread of tomorrow.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Insanity is the inability to remember with sufficient force the pain and suffering caused by compulsive overeating.

When the pain of where I am overwhelms the fear of where I am going, then I am ready and willing to grow and change.

I’m not what I could be, I’m not what I would be, I’m not what I should be but by the grace of God, I’m not what I was.

There are two days in every week which we have no control over - yesterday and tomorrow. Today is the only day we can change.

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the people I can, and the wisdom to know that the people is me.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
