Not taking matters into our hands as if we know better than God what we should do
Trusting even when we don’t see our prayers answered or problems solved right away
Trusting God to work out our circumstances instead of using our own might and power
Talking about all our feelings and circumstances with Him — the good and hard — through prayer
Trusting God to provide what He thinks is best and in whatever time He chooses to make it available
Waiting on God when he delays or is silent regarding our prayers or the fulfillment of His promises
Accepting that God often permits evils for some greater good, even if this greater good is hidden from us
Believing in God’s promises in all circumstances, even in those where the evidence seems to be to the contrary
Choosing to have faith in what God says even when our feelings or circumstances would have us believe something different
Trusting God in times of temptation, darkness, desertion, adversity, and affliction, as well as in times of joy and abundance
Trusting that even though our faith may be knocked, or we may stumble or fall, God will uphold us with His hand and deliver us
Accepting that God often acts in paradoxical ways, in ways that are different from, or even contrary to, our notions of what is best
Trusting God with our time, our feelings, our character, our finances, our perspective, our attitude, our relationships, our whole existence
